We knew the time was coming and soon we'd have to part. Your weary days are over, and troubled nights have passed. We watched you as you suffered and God knew you'd had enough. He took you gently from us, and gave you peace at last.

My sister-in-law died suddenly on a trip to Victoria, with no family members in the state. When I reached out to Candlepines during the evening, Bronwyn took my call personally and immediately swung into action. Other "large" funeral directors either asked me to call back the next day, or dictated when our requested services would be held.Candlepines offered great support and flexibility throughout our bereavement. They liaised with the coroner and the crematorium, arranged a tranquil and tasteful viewing, organised natural products for the funeral gown and restoration, and planned a prompt return of the ashes for repatriation to New Zealand.Bronwyn and Candlepines have our deepest thanks and highest recommendation for their caring and professional approach.

Sadly, we had to organize a funeral for our mother who passed away in November. Unlike birthday parties which happen yearly, it is the one event that you don't get to rehearse. After mum passed away we weren’t sure who to use or what happened next - death admin - people called it ! It was a very difficult time but once we found Candlepines funeral services we felt relieved as they were so helpful and very professional. We contacted Candlepines to arrange for a pre paid funeral both Phillip and Bronwyn we very helpful in advising us of all packages and options and costs that were available. Arranging the funeral in advance was an excellent option for us. When it was time for the funeral arrangements we had a meeting with Bronwyn she was so kind considerate and sympathetic. Bronwyn arranged for the memorial cards the flowers and pointed us in the right direction to arrange the photo gallery and music that we had chosen. At a time when you feel like your entire world is falling apart, you need to find a place where you will get all the support, guidance and compassion that you so greatly need. "Remembering With Love" is an apt phrase for this for this small family owned Australian business. From first contact with Bronwyn, I was impressed by her professionalism, knowledge, patience and sincerity. Our family were provided with options, information and current Co-Vid 19 restrictions. We appreciated the live streaming of the funeral enabling a wider audience to reflect on the life of my step-mother. Funerals are difficult at any time however nothing was too much trouble for Candlepines during the pandemic. All the little details were taken care of such as showing attendees to their seats, delivering and regifting of the flowers to the local church, and following up with me beyond the service. My gratitude to Candlepines - highly recommended.
